1. Department of Health and Human Services: Encouraging Appropriate Care Using Behavioral Economics through Electronic Health Records
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to invite applications proposing to apply behavioral economics principles to build interventions into electronic health records (EHRs) for the purpose of improving physician compliance with recommended treatment guidelines, thereby improving quality of care, health outcomes and reducing health disparities.

2. Department of Health and Human Services: Perinatal Stroke
The purpose of this FOA is to solicit applications that propose basic and/or translational research studies regarding the developing neurovascular unit, perinatal stroke injury/repair response, and/or stroke related etiologies and risk factors. Research addressing vascular, hemostatic, hematopoietic, and/or immune cell activities in the developing brain is of particular interest. The intent is to stimulate research that will identify therapeutic targets in perinatal stroke.

3. Department of Health and Human Services: Field Initiated Projects Program
The purpose of the Field Initiated (FI) Projects program is to generate new knowledge through research or to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technology that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and social self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities, especially individuals with the most severe disabilities. Another purpose of the FI Projects program is to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. In carrying out a research activity under an FI Projects research grant, a grantee must identify one or more hypotheses or research questions and, based on the hypotheses or research questions identified, perform an intensive, systematic study directed toward producing (1) new scientific knowledge, or (2) better understanding of the subject, problem studied, or body of knowledge. Please note that this will be the funding opportunity for FI Research proposals.

5. Department of Health and Human Services: Administrative Supplement for Research on Sex/Gender Influences
The Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) announces the availability of administrative supplements to support research highlighting the impact of sex/gender influences and/or sex and gender factors in human health and illness, including basic, preclinical, clinical and behavioral studies. Of special interest are studies relevant to understanding the significance of biological sex on cells and tissue explants; comparative studies of male and female tissues, organ systems and physiological systems; sex-based comparisons of pathophysiology, biomarkers, gene expression, clinical presentation and prevention and treatment of diseases.

1. National Archives and Records Administration: Access to Historical Records—Major Initiatives Preliminary Proposals
The National Historical Publications and Records Commission seeks projects that will significantly improve public discovery and use of major historical records collections. All types of historical records are eligible, including documents, photographs, born-digital records, and analog audio and moving images. Projects may:• Digitize historical records collections, or related collections, held by a single institution and make them freely available online• Provide access to born-digital records• Create new freely-available virtual collections drawn from historical records held by multiple institutions• Create new tools and methods for users to access records. The NHPRC welcomes collaborative projects, particularly for bringing together related records from multiple institutions. Projects that address significant needs in the field and result in replicable and scalable approaches will be more competitive. We also encourage organizations to actively engage the public in the work of the project.

2. National Endowment for the Humanities: Creating Humanities Communities
The Creating Humanities Communities program provides matching grants to help stimulate and proliferate meaningful humanities activities in states and U.S. territories underserved by NEH’s grantmaking divisions and offices. Grantees will use the funds to establish and undertake new humanities programs. The goal of these grants is to make connections between organizations that will foster community cohesion on a local or regional level.

1. Corporation for National and Community Service: 2017 Americorps State and National Grants
AmeriCorps grants are awarded to eligible organizations proposing to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen communities. An AmeriCorps member is an individual who engages in community service through an approved national service position. Members may receive a living allowance and other benefits while serving. Upon successful completion of their service, members earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award from the National Service Trust that members can use to pay for higher education expenses or apply to qualified student loans. Grant awards generally have two components: operating funds and AmeriCorps member positions. Grant award amounts vary – both in the level of operating funds and in the type and amount of AmeriCorps member positions. Unless otherwise specified, the grant generally covers a three-year project period. In approving a multi-year project period, CNCS generally makes an initial award for the first year of operation. In most cases, the application is submitted with a one-year budget.

2. Department of Justice: OVW FY 2017 Grants for Outreach and Services to Underserved Populations Program
The program was authorized to develop and implement outreach strategies targeted at, and provide victim services to, adult and youth victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking in underserved populations. Grant funds are used to provide enhanced services to underserved populations; build the capacity of both mainstream organizations and organizations serving underserved populations to provide culturally appropriate and inclusive services; and to increase training and outreach activities targeted at organizations providing services to underserved populations.

3. Department of Justice: Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program
In neighborhoods across the country, BCJI projects work to reduce crime and improve community safety as part of a comprehensive strategy to advance neighborhood revitalization goals. 5. Department of Justice: Community Level Youth Violence Prevention Research and Evaluation Program
This program will support methodologically rigorous research and evaluations that inform programs, policies, and strategies consistent with the Department of Justice’s mission. OJJDP will fund field-initiated studies with practical implications for efforts to prevent and reduce youth violence (including gun and gang violence) and violence exposure at the community level. This solicitation encourages researchers to propose studies that aim to identify and evaluate dissemination and implementation approaches that promote efficient and effective community level adoption and sustainability of research-tested youth violence prevention and control strategies. It also encourages investigations to evaluate the effectiveness (including cost-effectiveness) of community-based violence prevention programs with a fully developed and documented program model that have not yet been subject to rigorous evaluation.
